About
Living Elements
Rooted in the Mojave • Grown with Intention • Guided by Wisdom
Founded in 2011 in the heart of Joshua Tree, Grateful Desert x Living Elements is a sanctuary for contemplative wisdom education and embodied wellness intervention strategies.
What began as a small apothecary offering organic herbs, teas, essential oils and tinctures has expanded into a vibrant hub for integrative wellness, serving both locals and visitors from around the world.

- Āyurvedic Yoga Therapy
- Nervous system regulation and therapeutic embodiment
- Creative practice through art, writing, dance, walks in nature and local plant study
- Community centered learning
- Herbal medicinal product-making
Our intention is to facilitate connection with the grounded rhythms of the wild world ~ through plants, breath, movement, and self-care.
Living Elements is a center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine interventions supporting allopathic medical strategies, embracing and integrating modern Western Science, Western Herbalism and the Ancient Sciences rooted in Yoga and Āyurveda philosophies.
We promote salutogenesis in action ~ an embodied wellbeing approach that focuses on interventions, experiences and daily habits that support meaning and connection, rather than solely on disease prognosis by emphasizing work to navigate, with equanimity, mindful health and resiliency practices.
Every product, class, and practice is offered with deep respect for the land, the lineages, and the community we serve.
